Not only does self-care help manage stress and lower the risk of illness, but it also has been clinically proven to reduce or eliminate anxiety and depression, reduce stress, and increase happiness. Moreover, it can be used as an effective treatment for various mental illnesses such as bipolar disorder, PTSD, and schizophrenia.

This allows those with mental illness to identify environmental triggers earlier and adjust their responses accordingly.
